The context-menu and icons for TortoiseSVN don't appear in Total Commander, but the do appear in Windows Explorer. Why?

I've had this happen on several computers: The overlay icons for TortoiseSVN appear only in Windows Explorer, and not in Total Commander. Even worse, I could not update or commit in Total Commander, since the context menu (displayed by right clicking) in an SNV working directory didn't show the commands.

The solution was simple: Run the TortoiseSNV install again, and select "Repair".
After that's done, and you've restarted your computer, open the TortoiseSVN settings (by right-clicking in Explorer and selecting "Settings..." under "TortoiseSVN" in the context menu).
Look for "Icon Overlays" on the left side of the windows, and click on it.
Uncheck the checkbox labelled "Show overlays and context menus only in explorer."

That's it. If it still doesn't work, make sure that (in "Icon Overlays") the settings "Status Cache" is set to "Shell". Not sure if it's also required, but it seems to work for me.
