BitchX has some useful/important settings and commands

DCC-related:

• After establishing a DCC chat connection with someone, you can send messages to that nick by using /msg =nick or /query =nick.
• You can create new, hidden, windows with /window new hide You can then jump to them with ALT-1, ALT-2, ALT-3, etc. To remove the current window, use /window kill. To list all windows: /window list. To change the number of the current window, /window number new_number. To make the status bar a double-size, use /window double on.
• Use /set dcc_dldir to change the DCC download directory.
• /set dcc_autorename off will turn off auto-rename, which gets in the way of auto-resuming. Once you turn it off, auto-resume should work (assuming you have turned on auto-resume with /set dcc_autoresume on)
