Selecting multiple tasks from the Start Bar

Hold down CTRL and click on as many tasks from the Windows Start Bar as you wish. Then right-click on any of the selected, and choose what to do with them: Close, Tile (vert. and horiz.), Cascase, etc.

All the operations are done as if the selected windows where the only windows in the screen. So vert. tiling two windows will make one take over one half of the screen, and the other will take over the remaining half, regardless of the other windows.
