Samba doesn't follow symbolic links, how can I make them work?

To enable following symbolic links, add

follow symlinks = yes

to the smb.conf file. (this can be enable in [globals] globally, or seperatly for each share).

To enable following symbolic links across devices (multiple drives/partitions) add:

wide links = yes

to the smb.conf file. (this too can be enabled globally or per share.)
